How to organize the storage of food in the refrigerator

1. Remove milk from the door shelf

Most people store milk and other dairy products in the door, but this is the warmest area of ​​the refrigerator. Each time the door is opened and closed, the temperature changes, so food such as cheese should not be stored there. Instead, you can use the door to store condiments and sauces, and put dairy products on the middle shelf inside the refrigerator.

Also, very often people store eggs in the door, especially since some models have special built-in cassettes. But just as in the case of milk, eggs should not be subjected to constant temperature changes.

Eggs and dairy products are best stored on the middle shelf of the refrigerator.

3. Store meat and meat products in the coldest zone

Foods such as fish and meat should be stored in the coldest zone of the refrigerator. It can be located in different places depending on the model – in the back of the bottom shelf or on the topmost shelf.

4. Store vegetables in drawers

Vegetables should be stored in the fruit and vegetable drawers. They allow you to retain moisture, so vegetables stay fresh longer.
