Weather in Ukraine 2022 – weather forecasters gave a forecast for August – will it rain and heat

In Ukraine, the weather in August will be changeable – from abnormal heat to +38 degrees and drought to heavy rains. Precipitation will fall unevenly. About it informed weather forecaster Igor Kibalchich, reports meteoprog.

Weather forecast for August 2022

According to the weather forecast, in August throughout Ukraine, the average monthly air temperature is expected to be 1.5-2 degrees above the norm and will be 20-25 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the average temperature in the Carpathians will be at the level of 17-19 degrees Celsius.

“The hottest is traditionally expected in the southern part of the country. On some days, the maximum temperature here can reach +35-38 degrees,” Kibalchich emphasized.

It is reported that it is the first half of August that is usually characterized by high temperatures, but after the 15th-17th day, due to the lower position of the sun and the reduction of daylight hours, the temperature begins to noticeably decrease.

According to Kibalchich, in Ukraine, the amount of precipitation in August will be uneven.

“The main part of the rains will be showery in nature, therefore, even within a small area or region, the total part of precipitation can differ by two or even three times … But if we average the forecast data, then in most regions the amount of precipitation in August is expected to be close to normal” , said the expert.

According to the weather forecast, a less favorable situation will develop in the Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson and Vinnitsa regions. In these regions, heavy rainfall is unlikely, and against the background of high temperatures, drought will worsen and fire danger will increase, which by the end of July in these regions already reached the highest fifth class.

Recall that earlier Director of the Ukrhydrometcenter Mykola Kulbida gave a weather forecast for the winter of 2022-2023.
