Ukrainian army repulsed seven attempts of invaders offensive – UNIAN

The enemy concentrated the main forces in the Bakhmut direction, the head of the Lugansk Regional Military District noted.

This was announced by the chairman of the Luhansk regional military administration Sergei Gaidai.

“The Russians have significant losses, but they are stubbornly attacking from the Popasnyansky direction towards Bakhmut. The invaders have concentrated their main forces in the Bakhmut direction. But the path to the city lies through the strong defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Luhansk land,” he stressed.

According to Gaidai, over the past day, the enemy launched two powerful missile attacks on the Lugansk region, and a total of eight missiles were fired.

“Four air strikes on populated areas were recorded. The Russians used artillery support seven times, two more times they used mortars, attracted tanks,” the chairman of the UVA noted.

He added that after several hours of shelling, the occupiers go on the offensive.

“Yes, seven such attempts have been repulsed over the past 24 hours. The enemy was forced to withdraw in these areas. Armed assistance from Western partners helps to demoralize the Russians,” Gaidai stressed.
