The Spanish Ministry of Defense announced that they changed their mind and will not supply Ukraine with Leopard tankslocated in Zaragoza. The head of the department, Margarita Robles, said that after checking, experts found that the equipment was unusable and dangerous for people who would work with it, writes El Mundo.
“Today we are considering all possibilities, but I can already say that [танки] Leopard, which have not been used in Zaragoza for many years, cannot be sent [на войну в Украину]because they are in an absolutely deplorable state,” Robles said.
The Leopard 1 is a main battle tank designed and built in West Germany. It was taken into service in 1965. It focuses on the impact force and maneuverability of the machine.
