Turkish and Ukrainian sources diverged over time

On the morning of August 1, the first vessel with Ukrainian food was supposed to leave the port of Odessa. This was reported by the press service Ministry of Infrastructure on Facebook, as well as Turkish media.

The vessel RAZONI under the flag of Sierra Leone is carrying 26,000 tons of Ukrainian corn to the port of Tripoli in Lebanon.

Reported. that in the ports of Big Odessa, another 16 ships are already waiting in turn. These are vessels that have been blocked since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.

At the same time, applications are being received for the arrival of new vessels for loading agricultural products. In the coming weeks, with the support of Ukraine’s partners, it is planned to reach full capacity for transshipment of agricultural products.

The Ministry of Infrastructure does not yet provide additional information about whether the first vessel left the port.

In Turkey, the date is confirmed – August 1. This is reported by the Turkish edition Anadolu.

At the same time, Turkish sources claim that the ship was supposed to leave the port at 8:30.

Recall, on July 22 in Istanbul, at the proposal of the United Nations, Ukraine, Turkey and UN Secretary-General António Guterres signed the Initiative for the safe transportation of grain and food from the Ukrainian ports of Odessa, Chornomorsk and Yuzhny.

The unblocking of ports will provide at least $1 billion in foreign exchange earnings for the economy and the opportunity for the agricultural sector to plan the sowing season next year.
