According to him, this is one of the ways to delay the Ukrainian artillery.
The increased shelling of Kharkov is an attempt by Russian occupiers pull Ukrainian artillery from other directions to defend the city.
This was stated by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich in an interview with Russian lawyer and human rights activist Mark Feigin.
“They hit Kharkov and the region… For the same reason they hit Mariupol, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy. Because it is necessary to arrange terror for the population. This is the time (…) They always have a rational grain. “that if you clobber the civilian population, then sooner or later we will be forced to react and transfer troops. In particular, this is one of the ways to pull artillery away from us. From the right directions – to defend Kharkov,” Arestovich said.
An adviser to the head of the President’s Office called it “a villainous but somewhat workable scheme.”
As UNIAN reported, as a result of today’s shelling by Russian invaders of the Kharkiv region 15 people were killed, 16 were injured. The invaders also fired at the Industrial District of Kharkov. Five people were killed and 11 more were injured.
