the government figured out how to enable the unemployed to earn money – UNIAN

Status and unemployment benefits are now lost if a Ukrainian citizen is abroad for more than 30 days during martial law.

The government adopted a resolution thanks to which the unemployed in Ukraine will be able to earn money / photo from UNIAN

Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution according to which officially registered unemployed in Ukraine will be involved in socially useful work for the minimum wage (UAH 6,500).

About it informed Prime Minister Denys Shmygal during today’s government meeting.

“The officially registered unemployed, who have not been employed for 30 days, will be involved in socially useful work. This may be the removal of rubble, the construction of protective structures, landscaping, repair and agricultural work,” he said.

According to him, what exactly needs to be done in each individual region will be determined by local authorities.

At the same time, such work will be paid, the state will pay the minimum wage to everyone involved in socially useful work.

“We are actually eliminating the possibility when people could receive funds from the state and refuse the job offered. In wartime conditions, the state does not have the resources for this. Everyone must either fight and defend the Motherland, or work for victory and for the front,” the prime minister explained. .

Earlier it became known that the state budget of Ukraine now receives 30% of customs and 70% of tax revenues from the pre-war level.
