The European Commission is preparing to provide Ukraine with up to nine billion macro-financial assistance

This is stated in the conclusions of the European Council, approved at the meeting of heads of state and government of EU member states on June 23 in Brussels.

The European Commission will soon submit a proposal on granting Ukraine up to 9 billion euros of macro-financial assistance.

This is stated in the conclusions of the European Council, approved at the meeting of heads of state and government of EU member states on June 23 in Brussels.

“The European Council notes that the European Commission will shortly present a proposal to provide Ukraine with new exceptional macro-financial assistance of up to 9 billion euros in 2022. It calls on the Commission to quickly submit proposals for EU support for the reconstruction of Ukraine in consultation with international partners, institutions and experts” , – noted in the conclusions.

Recall that the leaders of the EU countries urged EU Council speed up military support for Ukraine. Currently, the total amount of funds allocated by the EU for armaments for Ukraine is two billion euros.

In particular, to this end, EU leaders are calling on the EU Council to “work quickly to further strengthen military support.”
