Football club “Rukh” resumed the training process and began preparations for the new season championship of Ukraine.

In an interview with the club press service the head coach of the team Leonid Kuchuk commented on the resumption of training of the Lviv team.

The Belarusian specialist spoke about the plans and sparring of the first training camp, talented youth and football during the war. The coach also admitted that he is learning Ukrainian and wants to give interviews only in Ukrainian.

“There were a lot of emotions at the first training session, because the team started preparing for the season. We have a large group of players. We divided them into two groups of 25 players, held 2 sessions. Next week there will be another group. They will all train according to the general program , and the coaching staff will make every effort to prepare them well.

Plans for this training camp? While it makes no sense to force the preparation, now there will be mostly drag training. Of course, we plan sparring matches for each group of players. We want to play the first sparring this weekend. We also have an agreement with the Polish Jagiellonia from Bialystok on a control meeting. We’ll do it on July 6th. We have a lot of work ahead of us.

We attract a lot of young people to training with the foundation. These guys have to endure and wait for their chance. To get into the main team, they will have to go through several levels of training. We have already played for the basis of young performers. Honorary President of “Rukh” Grigory Kozlovsky has repeatedly noted that the future of the team belongs to the youth. We give them such an opportunity, we create conditions for healthy competition in which these guys can progress.

I am happy that I have the opportunity to train such a large number of talented young people, and I will do my best to pass on my experience to them. In addition, I set myself the task of speaking Ukrainian. I try to improve it every day and will only give interviews in Ukrainian,” Kuchuk said.
