He noted that during these days Ukraine received many signals from different countries condemning the Russian terrorist act in Yelenovka.

“The world sees the truth. And I thank all our partners who are ready to join in establishing all the circumstances of this terrible execution of our prisoners,” Zelensky said.

All evidence of this crime of the occupiers will be collected, all the perpetrators will be found, he assured.

“But still, this is not enough now. There must be legal steps on the part of the world community in relation to the terrorist state. It is not enough just to condemn this massacre at the level of political rhetoric. What kind of relationship can there be with a terrorist after that? What can be business with such a country? the president said.

He noted that Ukrainian diplomats and all Ukraine’s friends abroad will step up their activity even more to track and destroy all links of the terrorist state with the free world that Russia still enjoys.

“And the formal legal recognition of Russia as a terrorist state, in particular, recognition from the United States State Department, is needed not as a political gesture, but as an effective defense of the free world. Such a decision will automatically complicate the existence of a terrorist state, automatically break various political and business ties which Russia would otherwise keep,” Zelensky said.

“And all this will happen absolutely. It will have to be done – the only question is time and in the format of making this decision. And the sooner it is, the less evil Russia will have time to do,” he added.
