Russia is moving a large number of troops to the temporarily occupied south of Ukraine through the occupied territories and Crimea. It’s connected with counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was stated by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadym Skibitsky in an interview. the Guardian.

“They are increasing the number of their troops, preparing for our counter-offensive and, possibly, preparing to launch their own offensive. The south is key for them, primarily because of Crimea. Now the Russian army is trying to strengthen its positions in the occupied regions of the south of our country, increasing activity in the corresponding directions,” he said.

According to Skibitsky, strategically Russia has no chance of winning the war. He added that two weeks ago, the Russian Federation withdrew tactical groups of the Airborne Forces from the Donbass and transferred them to the occupied Kherson. There is also a transfer of troops from the Eastern Military District, which were used to attack Slavyansk and were in reserve in the Belgorod region.

Despite this, Russia continues to advance in this direction, albeit with less intensity.

Recall that earlier Skibitsky said that 200 marines did not want to return to the war in the Ukrainian state 810th Marine Brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
