The Ministry of Economy conducted an audit of payments for program “Yepidtrimka” and revealed that payments in the amount of UAH 6,500 through “Diya” were mistakenly received by more than 25 thousand Ukrainians who do not belong to the categories to which these payments were due. The unfortunate misunderstanding was announced by the head of the Ministry of Finance Sergei Marchenko in interview.
According to him, after analyzing the data in the period from March 7 to March 31, it turned out that 25 thousand. 524 people left an application for 6.5 thousand, although, being employees of budgetary institutions, they were not entitled to receive such payments. It is reported that UAH 166 million in aid was erroneously paid out, and measures are being taken to return the funds.
According to Marchenko, 12 million hryvnias were returned to the non-budgetary account of the Ministry of Economy, of which almost 9 million were returned to individuals after the measures taken, and another 3 million hryvnias were returned to banks as unused aid.
