Due to the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the manufacturing process biometric documents – ID cards and passports began to take longer than before.

This was reported in press service MIA.

The department explained that the constant bombardment, destruction or destruction of logistics routes led to difficulties associated with the supply of necessary consumables for the manufacture of passports.

“As a result, we are forced to state delays in the production of documents,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.

Now the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Cabinet of Ministers, the State Migration Service (GMS) and the State Enterprise Polygraph Combine Ukraine are working to solve the problem and establish logistics channels.

“In addition, for the convenience of citizens, the government adopted a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the provisions of which allow extending the validity of passports of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad and pasting a child’s photo into the parents’ passport, both in the State Migration Service units and in Ukrainian diplomatic institutions abroad,” – adds the press service.

As UNIAN reported, on June 18, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Irina Vereshchuk announced upcoming changes in the regulatory framework for passport documents for internally displaced and deported persons.
