Ukrainian warrior hinted that the massacre of prisoners will affect the psyche of all prisoners
Russian invaders after the massacre of Ukrainian prisoners of war in Yelenovka forced the captured commander of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade, Major Sergei Volynsky (“Volin”), to comment on the attack.
The video was distributed by propagandist Andrei Rudenko.
The Russian asked the soldier why the Ukrainian defenders were killed, “Volina” replied that he himself did not understand why they were killing people who were waiting for an exchange.
In response to manipulative questions, “Volin” hinted that Ukrainian soldiers were killed by Russians in order to influence the psyche and morale of other prisoners.
“A very terrible tragedy happened. A yellow light was visible from our barracks, a gap. We heard screams. The situation is terrible, it is very difficult to find words to describe it. I think this situation will also affect the psyche of people in captivity, and on people who may be captured. There will be fear among the participants in the events, and among relatives and friends. Now our relatives and friends are very worried about what happened. It is still not known for certain who died. All in shock. No one finds an explanation, everyone is in mourning. There is silence in the barracks. There was a big trouble. People went through hell. Roughly speaking, everyone is waiting for the long-awaited freedom at home and such a tragedy occurs at the finish line,” Volyn said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on the night of July 29, an explosion thundered on the territory of a former penal colony in the town of Yelenovka in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region. As a result, the building was destroyed, which contained Ukrainian prisoners of war, withdrawn from the Azovstal plant.
Immediately after the explosion, Russia accused the Armed Forces of Ukraine of shelling the penal colony. According to the Russian side, more than 50 Ukrainian defenders died, the number of wounded is unknown. Ukrainian law enforcement agencies said that the explosion in Yelenovka was a Russian terrorist attack with the aim of concealing war crimes, discrediting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, disrupting the supply of weapons. They demand that the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross immediately respond to the terrorist attack and send an inspection mission to the territory of the colony.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, The attack was carried out by mercenaries from the PMC “Wagner” (League) on the personal instructions of the nominal owner of the specified PMC – Evgeny Prigozhin.
In connection with the terrorist attack in Yelenovka, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted the need for a clear legal recognition of Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.
