Inflation in Ukraine may slow down to 10-15% – UNIAN
Consumer inflation in May, compared to May 2021, was 18%.

The level of inflation in Ukraine after a radical increase by the National Bank of the discount rate may drop to 10-15%.
Oleg Ustenko, adviser to the President of Ukraine on economic issues, stated this on the air of the information telethon.
“Raising the discount rate from 10 to 25% is an unprecedented increase. The main thing they (the National Bank – UNIAN) wanted to achieve was a slowdown in inflation. There is hope that inflation will be at least brought to the level of 10-15%. This is significant,” he said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the State Statistics Service, consumer inflation in Ukraine in May in annual terms – compared to May 2021, was 18%.
On June 2, the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine decided to raise the discount rate from 10% to 25% per annum.
