In the work of Yandex Go and Uber services there was a second failure in a month

In Moscow, on June 24, a massive failure was recorded at the Yandex Go and Uber taxi services, they write “Kommersant” and TASS. When trying to order a taxi from smartphones on Android and iOS, the messages “Failed to complete the operation”, “There was a connection error, but the taxi search continues” or “Unknown error” appear.

However, the failure did not affect all areas of Moscow. For example, an RTVI employee had no problems when trying to order a taxi through the Uber app in the Western Administrative District.

Yandex Go confirmed to Rise that there were problems with the service, emphasizing that they were “working to eliminate the difficulties”: “A number of users are having difficulty accessing ordering a taxi. Our specialists are working to eliminate the difficulties.”

A similar failure occurred in the work of both services less than a month ago, on May 26, informed TASS. At that time, users of aggregators complained that they could not order a taxi through applications “Yandex Go” and Uber on both iOS and Android, and the inscription appeared on the screens – “Error loading data. Couldn’t determine where you are.” In the press service of the services, the agency was later informed that all problems had been eliminated: “We apologize for the inconvenience and are doing everything so that this does not happen again.”

Yandex closed the deal to merge with Uber in February 2018. The companies united businesses in several CIS countries at once – Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Russia. The board of directors includes four representatives from Yandex and three from Uber.
