In the Sumy region divers discovered in the Seim River a portable anti-aircraft missile system “Igla”, designed to destroy helicopters and aircraft.

It is reported in Facebook State Service for Emergency Situations.

“This is such a deadly catch – the Igla portable anti-aircraft missile system, designed to destroy helicopters and aircraft, was discovered by divers of the humanitarian demining and special pyrotechnic works of the State Emergency Service in the Seim River in the Sumy region,” the message says.

The State Emergency Service notes that an explosive object, together with a 125 mm artillery shell, was seized from a reservoir in the village of Korolki, Putivl OTC, Konotop region, taken out of the village and destroyed by explosion.

“Terrible, but vivid confirmation of the expediency of a categorical ban on the swimming season throughout Ukraine,” the report said.

As UNIAN reported, the chairman Ministry of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky warnedthat, due to the presence of explosive devices, it is dangerous to swim in most reservoirs today in Kyiv, Kharkov, Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
