In Odessa, an attacker in a few hours robbed five pensioners.
About it reported at the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odessa region.
It is noted that the attacker, a resident of the Odessa region, tracked down elderly women on the streets wearing gold chains. He followed them and at a convenient moment tore off jewelry from the neck. Robberies were committed, including on Shevchenko Avenue and in the city center.
“Thus, within a few hours he robbed five townspeople,” the head office said.
Operatives detained the attacker in the historical center of the city – on Bolshaya Arnautskaya Street, when he was looking for another victim. The man admitted that on that day he came to Odessa to rest from the village of Velikodolinskoe. I went into a cafe, drank alcohol and remembered that I had been dreaming of a bracelet for a long time, which requires gold.
Law enforcement officers confiscated all the property of the victims from the defendant and declared him suspected under Part 4 of Art. 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Before choosing a preventive measure, the suspect was placed in a temporary detention facility. For robberies committed under martial law, he faces seven to ten years in prison.
As UNIAN reported, a Russian soldier killed a civilian and stole World War II veteran’s medals.
