Security issues remain a fundamental element of the Ukrainian position, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry noted.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine notes that no agreements have yet been reached on negotiations between Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the United Nations on the export of grain from Ukrainian seaports blocked by Russia.
This is stated in the comments of the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko, the text of which is available to UNIAN.
In particular, he commented on the prospects for quadrilateral talks in Istanbul on the export of Ukrainian grain.
“Ukraine welcomes the efforts of the UN Secretary-General to resolve the issue of exporting grain from Ukrainian seaports blocked by Russia. Expert consultations between the parties concerned are currently ongoing. Specific agreements on holding quadripartite negotiations with the participation of Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the UN have not yet been reached. As well as Before, security issues remain a fundamental element of the Ukrainian position,” Nikolenko stressed.
Recall, on June 22, Turkey announced on achieving progress in negotiations with the Russian Federation on unblocking the export of Ukrainian grain. In particular, it was stated that following the talks held the day before in Moscow between the military delegations of Turkey and the Russian Federation, a decision was made to hold a quadripartite meeting (Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the UN) to discuss the withdrawal of ships with grain from the ports of Ukraine.
