The situation at sea has undergone significant changes after Ukraine received Harpoon anti-ship missiles, which strengthened the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and made it impossible for the enemy to conduct landing operations on the Black Sea coast.

This was stated by military expert Dmitry Snegirev on the air of the information telethon.

“As for the situation at sea, it has undergone significant changes at the time Ukraine received Harpoon anti-ship missiles with a range of up to 120 km. This significantly strengthened the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and made it impossible to carry out landing operations on the Black Sea coast of our country,” the expert said.

Snegirev noted that after Putin’s statements about strikes against decision-making centers, he does not exclude the intensification of missile terror, but with the help of receiving HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, the Ukrainian military will be able to give an adequate response.

“As for the possibility of launching a missile strike, then, accordingly, after Ukraine receives the HIMARS MLRS with a range of up to 80 km, we can talk about the so-called “rocket spear” tactics. That is, we can respond to each missile attack on the territory of Ukraine with similar actions. a statement by a representative of the US Embassy in Ukraine, who said that the targets that the Ukrainian military will choose are, in fact, the prerogative of the Ukrainian military. Therefore, I am cautiously optimistic about the situation with rocket attacks. There will be an adequate response from the Armed Forces of Ukraine for each attack.” – said the expert.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the United States promised to transfer HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems to Ukraine by the end of June, which could be used on the battlefield in a few weeks. In particular, it was about the first four MLRS. Later it became known that the United States could transfer four more such jet systems to Ukraine.

On June 23, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov announced that the first HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems had arrived in Ukraine from the United States.
