EU leaders called on the EU Council to speed up military support to Ukraine
Currently, the total amount of funds allocated by the EU for armaments for Ukraine is 2 billion euros.

The leaders of the member states of the European Union called on the technical services of the EU Council to work quickly to strengthen military support Ukraine.
This is stated in European Council conclusionsadopted at the meeting of heads of state and government of EU member states on June 23 in Brussels.
“The European Union remains determined to continue to provide military support to help Ukraine realize its inalienable right to self-defense against Russian aggression and to defend its territorial integrity and sovereignty,” the document says.
In particular, to this end, EU leaders are calling on the EU Council to “work quickly to further strengthen military support.”
As UNIAN reported earlier, on May 24 the European Union approved the decision to allocate the fourth tranche in the amount of 500 million euros for arms for Ukraine. Thus, the total amount of funds allocated by the EU for armaments for Ukraine is 2 billion euros.
It also said that the amount of weapons to be provided in the new support package is in line with the current priorities expressed by the Ukrainian government.
