Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak notes that threats of violence against Lithuania Russia proves once again that the appetites of the empire are not limited to Ukraine.
He wrote about this on his page in Twitter.
According to him, Moscow understands only the language of force and must know the price of each of its next steps.
“Threats of forceful reprisals against Lithuania from Russia prove once again that the appetites of the empire are not limited to Ukraine. Such bloodthirsty rhetoric should receive a strong reaction from the international community,” Podolyak stressed.
As UNIAN reported, Lithuania since June 18 stopped the transit of sanctioned goods between the Kaliningrad region and the main territory of the Russian Federation. In Russia already reactedstating that the transit ban “could be the basis for very tough and absolutely legal actions.”
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba came to the defense of Lithuania in connection with the threats that are heard from representatives of Russia.
“Russia has no right to threaten Lithuania. Moscow should only blame itself for the consequences of its unprovoked and unjustified invasion of Ukraine. We approve of Lithuania’s principled position and stand firmly on the side of our Lithuanian friends,” Kuleba stressed.
