The Government of Ukraine will provide citizens with non-refundable grants for the development of their own business under the new “єRobota” program.
Ukrainians who want to launch a new businesswill be able to receive up to 20 thousand hryvnia grants during the year under the new government program “eRobota”.
How noted Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting on June 21, the grants will be non-refundable.
According to him, Ukrainians who do not work in other companies and do not have other business can count on financial assistance. To receive a grant, you need to create a clear business plan.
“Any Ukrainian who has a business plan and firm intentions to start his own business can count on state support. We plan to issue 20,000 such grants per year. Accordingly, the program’s budget for the year is UAH 5 billion,” Shmyhal said.
There are no restrictions on the scope of work – it can be any type of service, from sewing clothes or shoes to service stations or installation work. Depending on the needs of microentrepreneurs, they will provide an amount of up to 250 thousand UAH.
The prime minister explained that if the business plan is ready, it must be submitted along with the application for participation in the program. You can do this online through “Diya” or at a branch of Oschadbank.
Within 10 days, experts from Oschadbank and the State Employment Center should familiarize themselves with the project. If he meets the criteria of the program, the grant funds will be transferred to the applicant’s bank account.
Shmygal stressed that the state would provide the grant not in cash, but to a separate bank account. From this account, according to him, it will be possible to buy equipment, raw materials, tools, and partially pay the rent.
“Additionally, new entrepreneurs will be able to get a cheap loan under the 5-7-9 program in the amount of up to UAH 2.5 million. These are funds for the construction or reconstruction of premises, for the purchase of additional equipment, financing of working capital,” the Prime Minister said.
In addition, “eRobot” participants will be able to get a cheap loan for their business under the “5-7-9” program in the amount of up to UAH 2.5 million. The money is given for the construction or renovation of premises, additional purchase of equipment or financing of working capital.
According to Shmygal, the state program as a whole provides for three programs. Two of them are aimed at supporting farmers. If UAH 5 billion is allocated for microbusiness during the year, then UAH 11 billion for farmers. Part of the funds will come from foreign partners.
In the near future, the government should also agree on similar grant programs for processing and IT.
Recall that earlier the Cabinet of Ministers also adopted a resolution according to which officially registered unemployed in Ukraine will be involved in socially useful work for the minimum wage (UAH 6,500).
