Since the beginning of implementation in Ukraine visa regime with the Russian Federationnot a single Russian out of about 80 citizens who applied for a visa has yet received one.
about it during All-Ukrainian telethon said the speaker of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko.
“According to the information I have, about 80 citizens of the Russian Federation have submitted data for obtaining a visa. However, none of them has received it yet. Accordingly, none of them could cross the border if they had a visa,” Demchenko said.
He noted that now a detailed check of the data of those who apply for a visa is carried out in advance. Previously, it was carried out at checkpoints when Russian citizens planned to enter Ukraine.
As UNIAN reported, from July 1, Ukraine began to operate visa regime for Russians.
From now on, Russians cannot come to Ukraine without an invitation, for entry they need a passport and passport details of the host country, they must have at least 52 thousand hryvnias with them.
