The threat of missile strikes on objects in Ukraine from the territory of the Republic of Belarus also remains.
Belarus, which facilitated the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February, is currently supplying certain types of munitions to the Russian Federation’s invading forces.
This is stated in the operational information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the Russian invasion as of 18:00 on August 2.
“According to available information, the Republic of Belarus continues to supply certain types of ammunition for the needs of the armed forces of the Russian Federation,” the General Staff informs.
It is also noted that in the Volyn and Polesye directions, the composition, condition and position of the units of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus in the Brest and Gomel regions remain unchanged.
In addition, the threat of missile strikes from the territory of the Republic of Belarus remains.
It is also said that in the Seversky direction, the enemy does not stop shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops from the territory of the Russian Federation and conducting aerial reconnaissance in the border areas of the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
As noted in the General Staff, in the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy continues to conduct hostilities in order to hold occupied lines and prevent the creation of favorable conditions for the resumption of the offensive by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The enemy is taking measures to replenish the losses of personnel, as well as weapons and military equipment.
