Army Relief Fund “Turn Back Alive” and the Turkish company Baykar signed a memorandum of cooperation

Army Competent Assistance Fund “Turn around alive» and a Turkish company Baykar signed a memorandum of cooperation, according to the foundation’s website.

On Wednesday, August 3, Baykar Director Haluk Bayraktar and Turn Back Alive Foundation Director Taras Chmut signed a memorandum on further partnership in Istanbul.

“Turn Back Alive” is entering a new systemic level of work with international partners. As an institution, we are aware that the Russian-Ukrainian war, unfortunately, will not end tomorrow, and therefore is aimed at consistent “work in the long run,” said Taras Chmut, director of the fund.

According to him, February 24 changed everything, “and we woke up in a new reality around.” From now on, not only the state is a player at the international level of arming the country, but also similar funds.

“And we are ready to join this and provide support to the state, including military products,” Taras Chmut stressed.

He also added: “We are ready to work 24/7, we are ready to invest all our efforts and resources, and we are grateful to every person who makes a donation to our Foundation. It is thanks to such conscious people that we are able to protect Ukraine and our future.”

For his part, the director of Baykar, which produces the Bayraktar TB2 and Bayraktar Akinci strike UAVs, Haluk Bayraktar said: “We have something to give each other in this cooperation, we are confident that by joint efforts we will reach new horizons, first of all, demonstrating humanity and for the victory of Ukraine.

All the details of the future interaction of the parties have not yet been disclosed. However, the partners came to an agreement on the introduction of best practices and international standards for the development of cooperation.

Recall On July 26, the Fund announced the purchase and transfer of the Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial system to the Ukrainian military, for a total cost of $16,502,450. This project was the largest in the history of the foundation. Before that, not a single fund involved in helping the army bought attack drones. To make the agreement possible, in March 2022, the Fund received permission to import military goods.

Baykar is a world famous Turkish military company that has been producing UAVs since 2000. The company is known, in particular, for such strike drones as the Bayraktar TB2 and Bayraktar Akinci.
