On the night of July 31, the Russians fired at Nikolaev from the Smerch multiple launch rocket system and the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system. About it informed the speaker of the operational command “South” Vladislav Nazarov.

According to him, during the night the occupiers fired at Nikolaev twice, using “Smerch” and modified shells of enhanced destructive action for the S-300.

As a result of the shelling, the buildings of three educational institutions were destroyed, several private and apartment buildings were also destroyed and damaged. There was a hit on the stadium, many other social facilities, and industrial infrastructure. There are dead and wounded, the debris removal continues.

Nazarov also reported on the shelling of the Nikopol region. The Russians fired up to 50 Grad shells at residential areas. One person was injured, houses were destroyed and damaged, and the gas pipeline and water supply were also disabled.

In the morning, the Russian army again attacked Nikopol with two air-launched cruise missiles, and the Russians fired on the Krivoy Rog region from cannon artillery.

In the Air Force before reportedthat the Russians already consider the S-300 system an outdated complex, but the Russian army has a surplus of these missiles, which is why it is now actively using them against ground targets.
