The Ukrainian side handed over to the Russian side “someone significant.”
The decision to exchange Ukrainian paramedic Yulia Paevskaya (Taira) was made at the highest level, including Moscow.
This was stated by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich in an interview with Russian lawyer and human rights activist Mark Feigin.
According to him, the Ukrainian side handed over to the Russian side “someone significant.” However, he did not confirm or deny the exchange of Taira for the “son of a friend of Kadyrov”, which was previously reported by the media.
“We have gained a sufficient number of iconic ones and very serious exchanges are possible for them,” Arestovich added.
As you know, the Ukrainian paramedic Yulia Paevskaya was captured by Russians approximately in mid-March. Russian propagandists called her “participant of Azov”.
On June 17, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Paevskaya had succeeded in release from captivity.
Thereafter “Tyra” recorded the first videoin which she thanked the president for his help and said that she was now in a safe place.
