“To date, 46 settlements have already been de-occupied in the Kherson region, most of them are in the northern part, which borders on the Dnipropetrovsk region, and a little in the south, on the border with the Mykolaiv region,” Butriy said at an online briefing on Monday.

According to Butria, in the de-occupied territory “there are villages that are practically destroyed by 90% – even today they are under constant shelling, the population has mostly left.”

He is sure that the vast majority of residents of the occupied territory are waiting for the arrival of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“That small number of traitors and defectors is not the entire population of our Kherson region, not even 1%. These are units that simply show,” Butriy said.

He urged residents to evacuate to safer regions.

“To be on the safe side, I recommend evacuating to a safer area before release,” Butriy said.
